A36 Carbon Steel Coil

2.Product Advantages
No complicated pre-welding preheating or post-welding heat treatment is required; it is compatible with various welding methods such as arc welding and gas welding, with high matching degree between weld strength and base metal
Easy to perform cold or hot processing operations such as stamping, bending, shearing and forging; not easy to crack after forming, meeting the processing requirements of complex components
Raw materials are easily available, production process is simple, and the price is lower than that of alloy steel, which can effectively control the project procurement cost
With balanced performance, it can meet the basic use needs of multiple industries such as construction, machinery
and manufacturing, with strong versatility

5.FAQ
Q1:What are the differences between A36 carbon steel coil and national standard Q235B steel coil?
A1:The two have similar performance and can be used interchangeably, but there are slight differences: A36 has a yield strength of ≥250MPa and carbon content of ≤0.26%; Q235B has a yield strength of ≥235MPa and carbon content of ≤0.20%. A36 is more suitable for American standard projects, while Q235B is applicable to national standard projects.
Q2:Can A36 carbon steel coil be used in low-temperature environments?
A2:It is not recommended to use it for a long time in low-temperature environments below -20℃. A36 has limited low-temperature toughness and is prone to brittle fracture in low-temperature environments. If low-temperature application is required, it is recommended to choose special low-temperature steel.
Q3:What should be noted in the welding of A36 carbon steel coil?
A3:Before welding, it is necessary to clean impurities such as oil stains and rust on the weld surface; E43 series welding rods can be selected; if high precision is required for components after welding, straightening treatment should be carried out to avoid welding deformation.
Q4:What is the rust resistance of A36 carbon steel coil?
A4:A36 is carbon steel without rust-resistant alloy elements, and is prone to rust in humid environments. It is recommended to carry out surface treatment such as painting, galvanizing and anti-rust oil coating to improve rust resistance.
