5. FAQ

Q1: Why is AluZinc (Galvalume®) better than regular Galvanized (GI) for my project?
A1: AluZinc provides significantly better corrosion resistance, especially in industrial or coastal atmospheres, and offers superior heat reflectivity. For projects where longevity (25+ years) and thermal performance are priorities, or in corrosive environments, AluZinc delivers a much better lifetime value despite a slightly higher initial cost.


Q2: What do the coating designations like AZ150 mean?
A2: The "AZ" stands for Aluminium-Zinc, and the number (e.g., 150) indicates the total coating mass in grams per square meter (g/m²) on both sides of the steel substrate. AZ150 is a common, robust specification for demanding applications. Higher numbers (AZ180, AZ200) offer even greater protection for extreme environments.
