4.Production process

Alloy Melting: Melt electrolytic aluminum ingots with manganese and other alloying elements in furnace, precisely control composition ratio, and cast into aluminum billets

Hot Rolling Billet: Heat aluminum billets to appropriate temperature for hot rolling, roll into thick aluminum coils, and complete initial thickness reduction and sizing
Cold Finishing Rolling: Cold roll thick aluminum coils through multiple passes to target thickness, improving surface flatness and dimensional accuracy
Annealing Treatment: Low-temperature annealing in bell furnace to relieve rolling stress, optimize mechanical properties, and enhance plasticity and formability
Finishing & Packaging: Slitting, leveling, surface cleaning, moisture-proof film coating, then packaging and warehousing for delivery

5.FAQ

Q1:What are the differences between different tempers of 3003 aluminum coil?

A1:Temper O is annealed with the best ductility; Tempers H12/H14/H18 are hardened, with hardness and strength increasing in turn, and ductility decreasing in turn.


Q2:Can 3003 aluminum coil be used in food contact scenarios?

A2:Yes, its manganese content meets food-grade standards, no harmful substances precipitate on the surface, suitable for food container manufacturing.


Q3:What welding methods are available for 3003 aluminum coil?

A3:TIG welding and resistance welding are recommended. No special welding wire is needed during welding, and the weld strength is close to that of the base metal, not easy to crack.


Q4:What should be noted for the storage of 3003 aluminum coil?

A4:Store in a dry and ventilated warehouse, avoid storing with acid and alkali substances; the stacking height should not exceed 3 meters to prevent deformation of the bottom coil.
